How do I print in the library?
Answer
The library has 3 printer locations:
- Library Main Floor (black and white)
- Library Main Floor (color)
- Library Upper Level (black and white)
When printing from a library computer, choose the printer where you wish to send your printouts (Main Floor B&W, Main Floor color, or Upper Level). After sending your print job, you will need to use the Print Release stations located by the printers to release your jobs for printing. You can login to the Print Release station with your G# and password, and you will see a list of all your sent print jobs, and you can then release the jobs you wish to print.
Print balance:
- Students start each semester with a balance of $12.50 in printing, which is enough for 250 black and white pages ($.05 each), or 125 color pages ($.10 each). Double-sided printouts only count as one page. Account balances can be viewed and additional prints purchased by logging into your account at http://printsrv:9191/user.
- Print jobs are limited to 50 pages (break them up into smaller segments if you need to print more than 50 pages at once).
- Print jobs expire after 30 minutes.
Wireless Printing:
You can print from your laptop or wireless device, however you must be connected to the campus wifi network (RVCC Student++ or RVCC Staff ++). Once connected to the wifi, follow these steps to print:
- Go to PaperCut (http://rvccmcprintsrv.raritanval.edu:9191/)
Note: You can also access PaperCut through Lion's Den - Login with your G# and password
- Select Web Print from the menu
- Click the green “Submit Job” button
- Select the appropriate printer (Library Main Floor, Library Upper Floor, or Library Color)
- Click on "Print Options and Account Selection"
- Upload your document
- Click "Upload & Complete"
- Click the “Held in Queue” link
- Click the “Print” link next to your job or the "Release all jobs" button
