How do I get a permanent link (or permalink) to the database article I found?

Answer

The permanent links to database articles are found in different places in different databases. The most important thing to remember is that if the link in your browser's address bar is a long jumble of letters and numbers, that is not the link you want!

In RVOneSearch (and EBSCOhost databases), the "Permalink" is on the right hand side at the bottom of the tools menu.

In Gale databases (like Opposing Viewpoints in Context), the permanent link tool is called "Get Link," and it is in the upper right tools menu.

In ProQuest databases, the permanent link is in the "All Options" choice in the upper right. It appears at the very top of the pop-up.

All of these permanent links need to be copied and pasted into a secure location that you can access in the future, like a Google Doc or an email to yourself.
